April 16th 2018. A date A LOT of Jurassic fans will remember for a long time. Walking into stores, navigating your way through trying to find the new Jurassic toys. You don't think your in luck. Then you turn your head. And BINGO! DINO DNA! There they are on the shelves. In all of their wonderful glory!!! The wonder and awe I felt that day is something I will NEVER forget.
On that day I bought ALOT! Here is my receipt!

Here is a picture of my pickups that day except for the Trash N' Throw which is not pictured here. As you can see most of my pickups were from the Legacy Collection [Which I LOVED!!]. I really hope that makes a return alongside the release of Jurassic World Dominion next year.

These toys were MASSIVE improvements on Hasbro's 2015 lineup that featured poor sculpts, paint jobs, oh, and Dinosaurs with screw-holes everywhere on one side of the figure [Smh].
These new Mattel figures were just AWESOME! [And still are!!]. Mattel managed to do what we have all wanted since 1997. Give us amazing sculpts, paint-jobs and articulation for our Dino figures. However we do need more Humans, Vehicles and Playsets to go alongside our Dinosaurs!
Then on April 16th 2019 I went to Smyths to get more toys to mark the 1 year anniversary of the line. Here's a pic of that smaller haul!

Unfortunately this year I will not be able to go to my stores to get toys to mark the 2 year anniversary because of everything happening in the world as you are aware. But of course all of our health is SOOO much more important so make sure to follow the regulations! But I still am still going to enjoy the 2 year anniversary at home by watching some Jurassic Movies with my figures :]
I remember April 15th 2018 [exactly 2 years ago on the day I'm writing this] I sat in my room and looked at my at the time small collection that consisted mainly of Hasbro JW toys and a few Kenner figures. I was so excited knowing that tomorrow I would get to add the Mattel toys to my collection. Here is a [Blurry pic!] of my collection at the time >

I made my 1st review on my channel Jurassic Collector on April 16th. I reviewed the Legacy Collection T-Rex which I LOVED and still do!! That actually still remains my favourite Mattel T-Rex in my collection to date! However the new Primal Attack repaint would probably beat it as the paint scheme is more accurate but unfortunately I have not been able to get my hands on it yet :/ I think it's the neck articulation on that figure that still makes it my [And lots of others!] favourite T-Rex figure from Mattel to date. However I do think the upcoming Ultimate T-Rex from Mattel could change that as looks soooo incredible and it also has some movement in the neck and some SWEET action features!
Mattel has released AMAZING figures over the last 2 years. However my favourite would have to be the INCREDIBLE and ICONIC Legacy Collection Brachiosaurs. That figure is an absolute PHENOMENAL addition to the Jurassic Line and my collection. It looks just like its movie counterpart in Jurassic Park and it is an absolute MASSIVE toy!! I have reviewed it on my YouTube channel if you want to check it out > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddWJ0svJw1Y&t=526s
Anyway I do hope you did enjoy this revival of my blog. I want to post on this a lot more often! And I hope you did enjoy this little reflective piece of my experience of the 2 previous April 16th's! And hopefully MANY more to come. Until next time stay safe out there guys.
Peace out.
